PDO Thread Lift
The Thread Lift is very popular for face lifting. We use the good quality dissolvable thread called “PDO (Polydioxanone) which is the same kind of thread doctor uses for sewing the coronary. The thread shall be dissolved and eliminated from body in 6-8 months. PDO are injected into the skin, and sometimes the muscle to tighten the skin. The thread will support the skin and stimulate skin rejuvenation and fibroblast to produce collagen and elastin around the thread.
As a result, the skin has more tightness and elasticity. This concentrates to face lifting up, solves problem of double chin or sagging. Or using the subcutaneous fat layer suture technique to intergrade the tissue under skin, focus to use this method for face frame, the doctor will consider which process shall suit to each patient. The PDO Thread Lift
is a treatment which lifts and tightens sagging skin tissue, using threads made of Polydioxanone (PDO). The threads introduces them into the deeper layers of the skin. Once introduced, the threads produce 3 effects in the skin:
- Skin Lifting through mechanical effects
- Cellular Renewel, through Collagen stimulation, and neovascularisation to improve skin texture, fine lines and elasticity
- Skin Tightening, by contracting fat tissue
About 6 months after the procedure, the PDO threads will disappear through simple hydrolysis (they are absorbable). The lifted facial contours will remain for about 3-6 months more, due to the cellular rejuvenation effects. Your skin cells are stimulated to produce new collagen, and new blood vessels to improve skin microcirculation.
